FC Barcelona joins forces with AmChamSpain, the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain

FC Barcelona and AmChamSpain have announced an agreement whereby the Blaugranas become a socio of the entity with the aim of seeking business opportunities in the United States while networking with US companies operating in Spain. The American Chamber of Commerce in Spain is the voice of US companies in the country and works to facilitate the relationship between the entities on both sides of the Atlantic.

The US market is an absolute priority for the globalization and expansion of Barça’s brand. Soccer is experiencing great growth in the US and the trend is expected to continue with the next World Cup being held in the United States in 2026. Likewise, FC Barcelona opened its US office in New York in 2016 and continues to its efforts to build deeper connections with existing fans, to gain new audiences, and to build bridges with local stakeholders to further develop the football ecosystem in the country.

FC Barcelona currently has partnership agreements with Nike, Prime and Stanley in the United States and is looking to grow. The Club counts 3,398,283 (Instagram) and 4,451,073 (Facebook) US-based followers in social media, placing the country in seventh and fourth position in the Club’s social media ranking at global level.

FC Barcelona also has a network of seven Barça Academies in the country (Austin, Chicago, Columbus, Charlotte, the Barça Pro Academies in Miami and New York and the Barça Residence Academy in Arizona) and a total of 15 super fan clubs (Penyes) across the country.

The United States, a returning Blaugrana destination

The connection between the Club and the United States acquires maximum visibility during the preseason summer tours of FCB professional football teams. For the third summer in a row, the men’s first team of FC Barcelona will return to the United States during the preseason for three World-class games: vs Manchester City (Orlando July30), vs Real Madrid (New Jersey, August 3) and AC Milan (Baltimore, August 6). This summer’s tour will become the sixteenth US visit in FC Barcelona’s history. It’s an interesting historical footnote that the Club’s first friendly tour of the United States occurred in 1937 during Spain Civil War, when it played a series of matches with local soccer stars in Brooklyn, New York.
