Legends like Angel Di Maria, Casemiro and Raphael Varane.
In recent times, one Manchester United player has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid. It is not other than Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentine international is known to be a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, despite playing with Lionel Messi in the national team. Could he follow in the footsteps of his idol and switch Old Trafford for Santiago Bernabeu?
Time shall tell. But if Garnacho was ever to move to one of the two El Clasico teams, it is quite clear which one he would prefer.
As reported by GOAL, Garnacho was asked to pick his preferred team between Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Manchester United player replied:
“Real Madrid, simple.”
That is despite the fact that he spent five years playing youth football for Atletico Madrid as well. It is safe to say that the youngster is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers.
Garnacho has been enjoying a meteoric rise at Manchester United. Erik ten Hag’s side have largely struggled this season but the Argentine winger has been a shining light.
It is worth remembering that he is still just 19 years of age. So, he has plenty of time on his hands to develop and improve his game further. If Garnacho can continue on this trajectory, he can be one of the best players in the world someday. Could a move to Real Madrid lie at some point in the future?
