Bellingham is expected to start and could provide fireworks – just like in his El Clasico appearance earlier this season.

And if Los Blancos emerge victorious, Real chief Florentino Perez is ready to reward his players with a hefty bonus.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have already landed €7million (£6m) for particpating in the tournament with the winner going on to take home an extra million euros.

Perez has agreed with the club captains, led by Nacho, that the bonuses would be shared among the squad, amounting to about €150,000 to each player.

That would equate to €4m (£3.44m) – nearly half of the overall prize money on offer, distributed by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The Spanish Super Cup is the first trophy on offer for sides in Spain and could be the first piece of silverware that Bellingham could lift.

The England international made the switch to the Bernabeu in the summer from Borussia Dortmund for a fee that could rise to £114m.

And he has been a sensation ever since – scoring 17 times in 23 appearances for Real Madrid.

His tally of 13 in LaLiga also sees him top of the goalscoring charts in the division while his last performance against Barcelona will go down in history.

After Ilkay Gundogan had put Barca 1-0 up in the sixth minute at the Nou Camp in October, Real struggled to break down the door.

That was until Bellingham stepped up and let loose a piledriver from about 30 yards out, flying past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

If that was not enough drama, the Stourbridge-born star went on to net a last-gasp winner right at the end that saw all three points go to Madrid.

A repeat of that kind of display on Sunday will underline his importance to Real already while many have already denoted him as the best player in the world at the moment.
