Paris Saint-Germain starlet would be “delighted” to make summer move to Barcelona – report
Barcelona are expected to have a very busy summer transfer window, and one area that Xavi Hernandez is keen to address is midfield. A new pivot is the club’s top priority, although they do want to add further reinforcements.
As reported by Sport, Xavi wants two new interiors to be signed, despite Barcelona already having Ilkay Gundogan, Frenkie de Jong, Pedri, Gavi and Fermin Lopez as options. His reasoning is that the former two can be played as pivots if required, while Gavi is coming back from a serious knee injury.
Bernardo Silva is one target that Barcelona have, and the report states that another is Xavi Simons, who is well-known within the club, having come through La Masia. The 21-year-old has had an excellent season at RB Leipzig, and Los Blaugrana may look to secure a loan deal when he returns to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

It’s claimed that Simons would be “delighted” to return to Barcelona in the summer, although his chances of doing so are likely to be very slim. Luis Enrique may want to keep him at PSG for next season, on the back of his exploits for Leipzig.
